Credit & Trade Finance Analyst - Energy Company

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Enforce and uphold company credit policy when working with internal teams and external partners.Conduct counterparty credit evaluations and risk analyses, recommend suitable credit limits, and advise commercial teams on credit risk appetite.Negotiate and recommend collateral and security arrangements with customers, including Letters of Credit and bank guarantees.Support trade finance activities, such as advising on Letter of Credit clauses, liaising with advising banks, and coordinating with stakeholders across the trade finance process.Contribute to the design and enhancement of credit risk systems and capabilities, including participation in the implementation of the S4 Hana ERP system.Monitor the regional trade portfolio to track payment performance and identify emerging risks.Participate in finance process improvement projects as assigned by company.Collaborate with internal Commercial and Finance teams and maintain relationships with external customers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.Skills & Requirements:Diploma or, preferably, a Bachelor’s degree in a related fieldAt least 4 years of experience in credit or trade finance, preferably in the energy, commodity trading, or banking sectorGood knowledge of international trade finance rules, especially Letters of Credit and related banking termsAble to assess market and industry risks (like currency or debt issues) and give sound business advice.Skilled at finding practical financing solutions that reduce credit risk and support business growth.Strong understanding of market trends, competitors, and local banking practices.Adaptable to change with strong stakeholder management skills.Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.Able to handle multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
