Under the direction of the administrator or designee, the Transportation Coordinator (Driver) provides facility staff with driving services such as driving staff and persons served to doctors’ appointments and recreational activities, running errands, and picking up and transporting admission/discharge persons served. This position requires the ability and desire to work with a diverse group of individuals in a respectful and professional manner.
Qualifications include a high school diploma/GED, being 18 years or older, good driving ability and clean driving record, ability to work well with other staff and adult persons served, self-directed but able to take directions and carry out tasks, ability to create and carry out schedule for vehicle use, one year experience as a driver for a long-term care facility, hospital or community-based program preferred, and a valid California driver’s license.
