  What You Will DoCrossBoundary Group is seeking a data operations and business intelligence-focused Communications Intern to support our efforts in advanced data tracking, visualization, and automation systems within the Communications Department. This internship provides a unique opportunity to enhance your skills in data science, business intelligence, and communications while working with a globally distributed, mission-driven team. The Communications Intern will focus on improving the department’s ability to track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across a diverse communications portfolio.
The role is ideal for candidates with a solid data science background, experience with tools like PowerBI, and interest in applying their skills to the marketing and communications function.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and refine PowerBI dashboards to track and visualize KPIs for social media performance, website analytics, and email campaignsSupport the Communications team in setting up and optimizing workflows for real-time performance monitoringConduct data analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improving communication strategiesAssist in designing templates and frameworks for presenting analytics and performance insights to stakeholdersCollaborate with the team to integrate business intelligence insights into communications planning and decision-makingDocument processes, systems, and workflows to ensure sustainability Support internal quality control and review processesCompile web and social media analytics reportsPresent and update PowerPoint slidesWho You AreActively enrolled in or recently completed a university or similar educational program in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related technical field Interest in leveraging data to enhance communications strategies and decision-makingStrong technical skills, including proficiency in PowerBI, Microsoft Excel, and other data visualization or business intelligence toolsFamiliarity with social media analytics platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram), website analytics tools (Google Analytics), and email marketing software (ActiveCampaign) is an advantageExperience with Python, R, or other programming languages for data manipulation and analysis is a plusSelf-starter with a collaborative mindset who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentIntegrity:
