SUMMARY: Research and analyze market data and competitive tariffs and accurately respond to rate and contract requests, ensure regulatory compliance, and the negotiation and execution of all bids and contracts with oversight of pricing analysts. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures regulatory compliance in tariff and contract filings. Reviews costs and other marketing data to develop bid and contract proposals.
Keeps various departments (such as freight services and sales) informed of all pricing matters. Provide continuous support to the team by offering training sessions and coaching. Complete RFQ’s and quotations with the most competitive solutions and within the required deadlines. Analyze current contracts and negotiate both independently and under the supervision of the Pricing Manager rates and terms most favorable for Crowley. Complete various assigned projects from vision to completion for Manager or Director of Pricing. Maintains contract database and physical files. Builds weekly management reports, contract activity reports and non-renewed contract reports as required.
Generates basic service contracts via DocuSign from data provided by the Pricing Analysts and Salesforce record. Researches rate and rule information in tariffs. Makes independent decisions within established guidelines regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling of work. Uses various technology platforms such as Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, DocuSign, etc. , to produce high quality documents, reports and analysis. May provide support to multiple professionals or a department. PEOPLE MANAGER: Yes EXPERIENCE: EXPERIENCE: 5-8 years of industry experience and customer service or sales experience. Experience in data entry, rate analysis, system utilization (Softship, C Sight, Excel). EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
Transportation/logistics major a plus TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Salesforce and DocuSign also preferred COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to leverage data analytics to identify opportunities to improve customer profitability. Ability to develop and implement a successful, complex pricing set up.
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. Ability to prepare, monitor and administer budgets, as well as the ability to perform financial analysis. Ability to function effectively as a leader in a team environment. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trends, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization.
