Job Description

The Clinical Research Practitioner will support the Trust to deliver on Trust sponsored research projects, with a focus on projects aimed at advancing our understanding of patient body movements within clinical environments. The role will involve undertaking study related procedures as appropriate including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care of research participants throughout the duration of the project.The role will be based at Denmark Hill, but may involve attendance at other affiliated sites (Cold Harbour Works, KCL). The appointee will be responsible for the recruitment of patients to a clinical trial and other high quality related studies. The role will involve training, and the support of students / others associated with the project.The Clinical Research Practitioner in Human Motion Analysis within Hospital Environments will play a pivotal role in an innovative project aimed at advancing our understanding of patient body movements within clinical environments, initially focused within the field stroke medicine.This position offers a unique opportunity to develop and apply cutting-edge AI-driven models that analyse and predict patient journeys through the healthcare system, with the goal of improving patient outcomes and streamlining healthcare processes.Assist in the process of gaining and maintaining all appropriate regulatory approvals associated with the conduct of the clinical trial and other related high quality clinical studies.Project manage trial set up with members of the multidisciplinary team.Responsible for recruiting participants within the trial and other related high quality clinical studies.Ensure written informed consent has been obtained for any treatment provided for, or any data collected from a participant, which will form part of a research study, in accordance with the Trust research governance arrangements and ICH GCP Guideline.Undertake study related tasks and procedures as required for the project, ensuring that they are carried out within the study protocols, Trust’s policies, research governance guidance, ICH GCP Guideline and the Data Protection Act.Undertake collection and management of study participant data (qualitative and quantitative).Develop AI-driven models for analysing patient, and patient-staff interactionsUndertake training and maintain competency to use relevant equipment as per trial protocolsMaintain all data and case report forms relating to the clinical trial and other high quality clinical studies in accordance with ICH GCP Guideline.Analyse clinical data related to the trial and other related high quality clinical studies, working under the supervision of the Chief Investigator and other members of the research study team.The Trust provides a full range of local and specialist services across its five sites.
