Discover how UVU's dual mis-sion ensures that every student flourishes by visiting uvu.edu.Summary Of ResponsibilitiesProgramming & Planning: Uses data on student populations to collaborate with Regional Pathways Director, UVU CTE Director, and other key stakeholders to develop engagement strategies, including programs and activities that remove barriers and provide equal access for students so they can meet or exceed state levels of performance in retention and completion, and prepare them for high-skill, high-wage, and/or high- demand occupations. Partners with relevant stakeholders, including UVU departments and staff/faculty across campus to support various initiatives and related interventions. Supports the CTE team and workforce alignment department to develop, plan, and execute conferences, presentations, and events related to supporting and encouraging enrollment in CTE programs and providing clear CTE career pathways. Provides data on participation and engagement to evaluate success of programming and planning efforts. Communication Strategy: Partners closely with the Regional Pathways Director in collaboration with the UVU CTE Director to develop engagement strategies to support CTE and priority population pathways. The CTE Pathways Coordinator will develop and generate communication and engagement content and other materials as relevant for the position. In addition, they will communicate with multiple constituencies including faculty, staff, and students. Additionally, collaborative work to include affinity groups such as the Mountainland Region CTECC Consortium, advisory boards, K- partners, technical colleges, and community members to coordinate engagement efforts and establish meaningful connections within the CTE community, with special focus on supporting all students in choosing careers in both traditional and non-traditional fields. Data and Reporting: Analyzes and uses relevant data related to reaching priority populations, and students entering both traditional and non-traditional careers. This position will create evaluation reports on goals, expected outcomes and measurement of CTE enrollments and completions, as well as support non-traditional student efforts. Workforce Grant Initiative and Department Support: Supports all grant initiatives, in compliance with federal rules and regulations as required. Attends meetings, retreats, committees, conferences, and activities to provide engagement recommendations, support and other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications / Licenses / CertificationsGraduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field of study or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.Preferred QualificationsGraduation from an accredited institution with a master's degree, or a bachelors' degree and related experience totaling six years. Bilingual background is advantageous.Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesKnowledge Knowledge and experience working with underrepresented populations and non-traditional students. Knowledge and experience regarding student success initiatives. Knowledge and experience working with technology and multimedia, specifically social media platforms. Knowledge of Career Technical Education (CTE) programs. Skills Strong editing skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Skilled in team collaboration. Abilities Ability to gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports. Ability to manage several diverse projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Ability to use electronic content-management tools. Ability to work collaboratively with supervisor and colleagues to implement the division’s strategic plan, goals, and innovations. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Ability to interface professionally with students, faculty, staff, and the public to achieve goals. Ability to professionally represent the CTE program and Workforce Alignment Department.
