CTO / Co-Founder — Embedded Systems & Edge AI (Radar-based)

About the projectWe are building EasyCaptain — an intelligent safety co-pilot for boats. The system connects to existing marine radars and autopilots, analyzes the surrounding environment in real time, and takes corrective actions such as slowing down or stopping the vessel to prevent collisions and improve safety on the water.ResponsibilitiesLead the technical development of EasyCaptain from MVP to production.Design the system architecture: Jetson-based compute module, radar interface, and integration with the autopilot via CAN/NMEA2000.Develop and optimize the Decision Engine for proximity detection, collision avoidance, and safe maneuvering logic.Implement sensor fusion algorithms using radar and motion data (CPA/TCPA calculations).Ensure full hardware/software integration, including power management, communication, and IP67 protection.Conduct real-world testing on boats in the South of France and collect telemetry for continuous improvement.In the initial stage, independently perform all technical team functions (embedded engineers, AI developers, and testers) until the team is formed.Build and manage the technical team as the project scales.Contribute to the long-term product roadmap (Base → Plus → OEM integrations).RequirementsStrong background in AI, Embedded Systems, or Robotics.Proficiency in Python and C++, experience with TensorRT, ROS2, and low-level communication (CAN, NMEA2000).Familiarity with marine radars or similar sensor systems.Experience with edge computing platforms (Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or similar).English required, Russian is a plus.Entrepreneurial mindset and readiness for hands-on field testing.Passion for building innovative hardware-software products from the ground up.What we offerCo-founder role with equity-based participation (milestone vesting).Access to real boats for testing and validation on the French Riviera.Opportunity to create the first radar-based marine safety co-pilot and scale it globally.At the early stage — equity instead of fixed salary, with compensation possible after the MVP launch.
