TitleCustodial LeadJob DescriptionJob OverviewThe Custodial Lead will be responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provides some work direction to custodial staff.Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully and safely, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Perform janitorial dutiesPerform all duties listed on the daily scheduleProvide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial SupervisorAssist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as neededOperate motorized cleaning equipmentTrack equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairSchedule clean up and repairs as neededMaintain daily upkeep of assigned areaTrack and maintain supply inventoryAssist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipmentPerform quality, service, and safety inspectionsReport incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisorReport employee personnel and customer issues to supervisorMonitor employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, and suppliesCorrect at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediatelyProvide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvementQualificationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. At least 1-year related experienceCertificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR/AED/First Aid certification . May be required to have a valid driver’s license. Completed all safety and task training certification. May be required to be forklift certifiedKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesAbility to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with teamKnowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipmentKnowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient useSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
