Job Description

Location: Hosur, Tamil Nadu, Silvassa, Bhopal (M.P.)Industry: Foam Manufacturing1. Role ObjectiveTo ensure timely and compliant handling of all import and export operations of the Company, including coordination with Customs, CHA, and freight forwarders. The role supports all activities related to shipment documentation, customs clearance, and statutory compliance under the Customs Act, Foreign Trade Policy, and GST framework.2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Customs Compliance & Import/Export Documentation·      Prepare and verify Bills of Entry, Shipping Bills, and Packing Lists in coordination with CHA and logistics partners.·      Ensure correct HSN classification, valuation, and duty computation as per Indian Customs Tariff.·      Coordinate for bond execution, bank guarantee (BG) submission, and Section 110A bond release where applicable.·      Maintain import/export registers and ensure timely filing and reconciliation on ICEGATE.·      Assist in filing refund claims (IGST/Drawback/DBK) and follow up with customs officials.·      Keep records of all customs correspondence, adjudication, or provisional release cases.B. DGFT & Foreign Trade Compliance·      Maintenance of records of EPCG and Advance Authorisation licenses, including bond and LUT tracking.·      Maintain records of export obligation, redemption documents, and E-BRCs.·      Assist in filing and tracking of REX registration, Country of Origin Certificate, and other DGFT matters.C. Freight Forwarding & Logistics Coordination·      Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, transporters, and CHAs for booking and clearance of consignments.·      Track shipments from origin to destination; update internal teams on ETA, demurrage, and detention risks.·      Obtain freight quotations, negotiate basic rates, and prepare comparative cost sheets for internal approval.·      Coordinate movement of goods from port to factory and maintain proper inward documentation.3. Skills & CompetenciesGood understanding of Customs procedures, CBIC notifications, and DGFT guidelines.Working knowledge of ICEGATE, DGFT, and EDI systems.Strong organisational and coordination skills.Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP tools (SAP/Tally preferred).Clear written and verbal communication for liaison with customs officials, CHAs, and internal teams.4. Qualification & ExperienceEducation: Graduate (Certification in EXIM / Customs Compliance preferred.)Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in import/export documentation, customs clearance, or freight forwarding, preferably in a manufacturing or trading company.
