Customs Operations Officer

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with central customs teams to ensure compliance with the latest regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.Execute operational processes in line with customs regulations and organizational policies.Support compliance audits concerning customs and trade regulations, both internally and externally.Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for customs processes to enhance efficiency in import/export operations.Maintain accurate customs data and consolidate reports declared by appointed brokers as part of the overall business model.Work with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to resolve customs clearance challenges at the shipment level.Assist in the Call for Tender process for customs brokerage by preparing technical specifications, analyzing offers, and aiding in the selection process.Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for contracted services, conducting Monthly Business Reviews and implementing corrective actions as needed.RequirementsRelevant degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience with several years in a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace supply chains or global logistics networks.Proven expertise in customs operations or import/export compliance.Background in freight forwarding or supply chain management in an industrial setting is preferred.Knowledge of customs regulations and logistics processes is essential.Familiarity with operational systems, particularly SAP and customs software, ideally within aerospace or manufacturing sectors.Proficiency in data analytics tools is advantageous.Strong project management skills or experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).Commitment to integrity and awareness of compliance risks are crucial for success in this role.Interested candidates who wish to apply for the advertised position, please click on “Apply”.
