Job Description
Overall Role PurposeEnsures that all turnover documents are properly checked and monitor completion of customs clearance.Key ActivitiesDGF CustomersPortray a professional, courteous and helpful attitude in all dealings with internal and external customersOperations Compliance OfficerOperations SupervisorAssistant Operations MangerCustoms Compliance Assistant ManagerCustomer Service, Sales, Finance, OperationsProvide accurate information, updates and status of the shipments.Coordinates with operations on delivery requirementsCustoms Clearance ManagementExamine the documents being turned over if in accordance with the requirement of Bureau of CustomsCheck completeness of the required documentEnsures that all documents received are properly covered by Shipping Instructions/SOPIdentify necessary clearance mode to be performed on the shipmentPrepares the all documents needed for filingTurnover documents for processing with CustomsBooks shipment to CTG and coordinate the required vehicle to be used in undertaking the shipment.Coordinates with function unit regarding special instruction for the shipmentsAssist Supervisor in monitoring status of shipments and coordinate with function unitPrepares and updates daily monitoring reportControls and maintains job file as well as its referenceTurnover all necessary documents needed for billingSkills / QualificationsSkillsSoftware skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Communication skills (English), spoken and writtenKnowledge in Customs Rules and RegulationsCompetenciesCompetency segment ‘Business’Analysis:Anticipates potential problems and does what needs to be done to prevent or effectively address them.Checks own work for accuracy and completeness.Spots inconsistencies and/or errors in data.Planning & Organizing:Continually seeks to accomplish critical tasks with measurable results.Overcomes obstacles and makes adjustments to achieve results.Seeks out the resources to accomplish tasks and achieve goals.Decision Making:Competency segment ‘Leadership’Teamwork:Willingly shares knowledge and opinions with others, even outside one’s immediate interest.Speaks positively about colleagues, recognizing their contributions to team goals.Competency segment ‘Personal’Accountability:All documents are in place and secured.
