This role involves coordinating with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal departments to streamline operations and minimize delays and costs.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and manage all customs clearance activities for imports and exports.Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations and trade laws.Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies.Prepare and review shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely clearance and delivery.Resolve issues related to customs holds, inspections, and documentation discrepancies.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and reduce clearance time.Train and guide team members in customs procedures and compliance requirements.Maintain accurate records and reports for audits and internal reviews.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in customs clearance or international logistics.Strong knowledge of customs regulations, HS codes, and import/export documentation.Experience with customs clearance software and ERP systems.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Fluency in English
