In our journey towards our 100th year of providing services, we are committed to providing the finest care in the furthest corner.We are currently seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Brisbane on a permanent, full-time basis.Play a pivotal role in safeguarding the critical information assets and systems of RFDS.The RFDS (Queensland Section) and RFDS (South Eastern Section) collaborate to offer shared D&T support and maintenance services. A unified team from both sections works together in a Shared Service to provide top-notch services to both organisations by utilising our combined expertise.Duties Will IncludeProvide cyber security support to clients in accordance with documented processes and timeframesCollaborate with internal departments across the business to improve cyber awareness and help reduce organisational riskConduct ongoing research into threat and security-related developmentsRaise support tickets and manage issues through to resolutionManage communications tailored to diverse client groups, including technical and non-technical stakeholdersImplement, maintain, and monitor cybersecurity technologies and investments to ensure ongoing protection and alignment with organisational needsContribute to the RFDS QLD and RFDS SE business continuity and disaster recovery plansSupport the afterhours on-call service as requiredOn occasion travel within QLD and NSWWho we are looking for?RoleTo be successful in this role you will have previous experience working with key stakeholders and various departments to ensure Cyber Assurance activities are executed, monitored, and maintained. You will also possess:Certification in Cyber Security or in a closely related fieldStrong knowledge of security protocols, intrusion detection systems, and firewall configurationsDemonstrated experience in handling security breaches, forensic analysis, and recovery proceduresExperience in SIEM tools, endpoint protection, and continuous security monitoringExperience with Microsoft Active Directory/Group Policy, Azure, Entra ID, Office 365, Defender, Tenable One Vulnerability Management, Netskope, Firewalls and MimecastSound understanding of the Cyber Security landscape and security concepts, common protocols, malware analysis, security architecture, security event triage and packet analysisHighly competent in maintaining confidentialityMost importantly we are looking for someone who has a strong sense of professionalism, enjoys variety and has strong attention to detail.Why Join Us?AboutWe value our people, and we are passionate about making a difference for people who live, work and travel in remote, rural, and regional Australia.
