Security Specialist – UAE | Hybrid / On-siteJoin a major national digital transformation initiative shaping secure, government-grade platforms across the UAE. As Security Specialist, you’ll lead the design and implementation of security controls that protect sensitive data, applications, and infrastructure powering mission-critical public services.The RoleYou’ll work across architecture, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to enforce end-to-end security standards. This is a hands-on role focused on risk assessment, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with UAE and international frameworks.What You’ll Be Doing• Define and enforce security policies across infrastructure, applications, and APIs.• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.• Manage IAM, firewall configurations, and authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, SSO, 2FA).• Monitor network and cloud activity using SIEM and IDS/IPS tools.• Oversee compliance with UAE FISR, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards.• Collaborate with DevOps to embed DevSecOps practices in CI/CD pipelines.• Manage incident response, documentation, and threat analysis.• Deliver training and awareness sessions across technical teams.What You’ll Need to Succeed• 5+ years of experience in information or cloud security roles.• Strong knowledge of application security (OWASP), network protection, and encryption.• Hands-on with AWS/Azure security services (IAM, KMS, WAF, GuardDuty).• Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD, and security automation tools.• Experience with SIEM solutions (Splunk, ELK, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners.• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are an advantage.• Exposure to blockchain, ERP, or digital identity platforms is a plus.What’s in It for You• Core role ensuring the integrity of a flagship UAE digital platform.• Work across security, infrastructure, and cloud engineering disciplines.• Drive best practices in one of the region’s most advanced tech environments.• Competitive package and opportunities for long-term impact.Next Steps:If you’re a security professional passionate about protecting systems at scale, we’d love to hear from you.
