With a posture of curiosity, adaptability, and creative problem-solving, the Technology function is intentionally forward-leaning: testing boundaries, exploring new possibilities, and continuously evolving how technology can serve and enable CV, and our mission in a changing world.Job OverviewThe Cybersecurity Analyst is a foundational role in the development of CV’s cybersecurity capability. Operating at the front line of digital threat monitoring and incident response, this role also plays a key part in building the systems, processes, and culture that will sustain, protect, and secure operations globally.This is a hands-on, collaborative position - responsible for triaging alerts, guiding vulnerability response, supporting tooling implementation, and helping embed secure practices across CV’s technology environment. As one of CV’s first dedicated hires in this space, the Cybersecurity Analyst will work closely with the Head of Infrastructure & Cybersecurity, the Infrastructure team, and the Support team to co-create operational foundations and champion CV’s commitment to proactive, values-aligned security.Specific ResponsibilitiesAct as a first responder for security alerts and potential incidents - performing triage, basic investigation, and documentation.Assist in standing up core cybersecurity tooling, including SIEM, EDR, logging pipelines, and vulnerability scanners.Help define and implement detection rules, escalation workflows, and incident response procedures in collaboration with the Infrastructure Engineers.Contribute to the design and rollout of CV’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) aligned with ISO27001.Support secure onboarding of new systems and services by participating in architecture reviews and project consultations.Assist in building internal documentation and knowledge bases for use by Service Desk and other technical teams.Collaborate with Infrastructure and Support to enforce patching, hardening, and endpoint compliance processes.Participate in security simulations and tabletop exercises; help analyse findings and mature incident readiness.Contribute to awareness initiatives such as phishing simulations, user education materials, and “cyber hygiene” campaigns.Engage in continuous learning to stay up to date with evolving threats, tools, and standards — and bring fresh thinking to a growing team. Skills, Experience And EducationBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or Digital Forensics1–3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity operations, SOC environments, or IT security-related roles.Experience working with or implementing cybersecurity tooling such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint compliance systems. Familiarity with threat detection principles, log analysis, and incident response workflows.Understanding of ISO27001, NIST, or other cybersecurity frameworks — including their implementation from scratch.Practical knowledge of Windows and cloud environments (e.g. Azure/M365 /AWS) from a security perspective.Ability to translate technical threats into clear risks and actions for a non-technical audience.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across technical teams and departments.
