Cybersecurity Consultant (EU Institution)

We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to strengthen the IT security operations and governance of a leading European financial institution in Luxembourg.In this senior generalist role, you will be expected to provide expert recommendations, oversee processes, coordinate with internal and external parties and draft and review reports and documentation.Job SpecificationsUrgent need : Early application heavily encouragedContract Type : Freelance (or willing to create a VAT)Delivery mode: Onsite, with occasional homeworkingCV format : Preferably EuropassWe are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist who will be able to :Analyse and follow up on security reports (SOC alerts, vulnerability scans, penetration tests, incident investigations)Support cybersecurity governance activities: maturity assessments, audits, compliance (NIST CSF, ISO 2700x, DORA, GDPR)Draft and review security-related documentation such as policies, procedures, and documentationProvide input to business continuity and disaster recovery exercisesAdvise on cloud and Microsoft 365 / Azure security practicesSupport awareness and training initiatives to strengthen the security cultureLiaise with multiple internal and external stakeholdersExperience - Requirements12+ years of experience in ICT, including at least 6 in cybersecurityExperience in both governance (policies, audits, compliance) and operations (SOC, vulnerability management, incident response oversight)Soft SkillsFluent in English (French, Italian, or German are assets).Excellent analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to transform complex reports into clear and actionable insightsStrong communication and coordination abilities, ensuring smooth collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external partnersA high level of integrity and discretion, with proven capacity to handle confidential and business-sensitive information responsiblyWhat’s in it for you?
