CyberSecurity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Specialist to protect the organization’s digital infrastructure from threats and vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing security measures, monitoring systems for suspicious activity, and ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory standards. Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor networks, servers, and systems for security breaches, intrusions, and abnormal behavior. Design and implement security frameworks, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS). Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses. Manage security incident response plans and lead investigations into security incidents.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or HIPAA. Maintain and update security tools, configurations, and policies. Provide security awareness training and best practices to staff. Work closely with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations and updates. Oversee risk assessments and third-party vendor security evaluations. Prepare reports and documentation for audits, management, and compliance bodies. Key Skills & ToolsProficiency in security tools and technologies (e. g. , SIEM, antivirus, firewalls, endpoint protection, VPN). Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption, authentication, and cybersecurity frameworks. Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows environments, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and security automation.

Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus. Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or CISM are highly desirable. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 5–8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or related roles. Deep understanding of threat modeling, security operations, and risk management. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident response skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
