About the RoleWe’re looking for a Python Engineer – Cloud Security (Azure & GCP) to help us scale our platform’s support for Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. You’ll be responsible for writing Python fetchers to collect resource metadata, designing enrichment logic, and building rule-based detections.
Your work will directly expand our coverage of cloud services and improve the platform’s detection and compliance capabilities. This is a hands-on engineering role — not SecOps or architecture — ideal for someone who enjoys building scanners, writing precise rule logic, and understanding how cloud misconfigurations impact real-world security. ResponsibilitiesDevelop Python-based logic to fetch and normalize Azure & GCP cloud resource dataDesign enrichment logic to prepare data for rule evaluation (e. g. , flatten fields, add computed flags)Write detection rules using YAML and JMESPath logicMap rules to compliance frameworks (CIS, ISO 27001, DORA, etc.
)Simulate misconfigurations in test environments to validate detectionsContinuously expand our Azure & GCP coverage across key cloud servicesCollaborate with the core team on detection accuracy, rule performance, and data consistencyRequirements2–4 years of experience in Python development, cloud SDK integration, or security automationStrong hands-on experience with Azure and/or GCP APIs (via SDK or REST)Solid understanding of cloud misconfigurations (IAM, storage, networking, etc. )Familiarity with YAML, JSON, and rule logic (e. g. , JMESPath or similar)Self-motivated and capable of working in an agile, startup environmentBonus:
