Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team at St. Jerome's University in Waterloo Ontario.

As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service establishment.

Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and stored in their designated areasMaintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including regular cleaning of machines and work surfacesAssist in keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and sanitarySupport kitchen staff by restocking clean dishes and utensils as neededUnload and store deliveries in appropriate storage areasEmpty and clean trash receptacles regularlySweep and mop floors, paying special attention to spills and potential hazardsAdhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation proceduresAssist with other kitchen tasks as assigned by the management teamReport any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptlyQualificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanlinessAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentExcellent time management and organizational skillsPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 poundsWillingness to collaborate with kitchen staff and maintain a positive attitudeBasic understanding of kitchen sanitation and safety practicesStrong communication skills and ability to follow instructions accuratelyFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidaysPrevious dishwashing or kitchen experience is a plus, but not mandatoryReliable and punctual with a strong work ethicAdditional InformationWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?Benefits start on day oneWork-life balanceCompetitive Wages Extended health benefits.
