Job DescriptionAre you ready to lead strategic category development across Europe and shape the future of a global supply baseAt Danfoss Power Solutions, we are seeking an accomplished Senior Category Manager to take end-to-end ownership of key commodity categories—mostly raw and machined iron-castings—with a combined annual spend of €30–50 millionThis is a high-impact role for a senior procurement professional who can translate business needs into strategic sourcing initiatives, elevate supplier relationships, and strengthen regional supply resilience.

You will act as a key driver of procurement transformation across Europe, collaborating across functions and global business units to deliver value in cost, quality, sustainability, and innovation. Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead holistic, forward-looking category strategies aligned with global and regional business priorities. Own high-level negotiations and strategic supplier engagements, with a focus on long-term value creation and risk mitigation. Optimize and professionalize our European supplier footprint, with particular focus on capability building in emerging markets. Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, contributing to design-to-cost initiatives, technology roadmaps, and early supplier involvement.

Ensure supplier compliance across quality, ESG standards, and contractual obligations. Represent Procurement in executive-level forums and global project teams. Actively contribute to capability development within the Procurement organization. Background & SkillsA university degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e. g. , CIPS, Six Sigma) are a plus. Minimum 7–10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement leadership, or category management—ideally in a global manufacturing environment. Strong technical understanding of metal manufacturing and custom-engineered components. Proven ability to lead complex negotiations and build executive-level supplier partnerships.

Track record of driving cost-out, innovation, and supplier performance improvements. Experience operating in a matrix organization and influencing cross-functional stakeholders. Fluent in English; other European languages are an asset.
