If you want to help shape the new generation of processes with us then you've come to the right place, just apply.Main ResponsibilitiesData Engineer/ Lab Engineer of a downstream laboratory for purification of molecules derived from microbial fermentation processes – like Nanobody® molecules.Supports lab teams with setting up dashboards in e.g. PowerBI, SQL databases and other tools, including establishing data extraction via use of e.g. R, Python or DataIKU.Ability to program and set up own dashboards and data extraction tools as well as supporting connections of e.g. instruments to data bases and extraction tools.Must work independently in the lab to develop purification and ultrafiltration technologies (chromatography; TFF) that enables biologics to reach the quantity and quality standards to meet clinical demands and commercial manufacturingIndependently carry out analytical methods (i.e., HPLC methods) to determine the quality of the chromatographic fractionsDrive the implementation of new techniques in the field of chromatography and ultrafiltration, modelling and continuous manufacturing in the microbial platformSupport maintenance and acquisition of new equipmentDutifully document and provide scientific input on experimental results in a timely mannerLiaise with a multidisciplinary team for analytical sample transfers and trouble- shooting of methods and issues intrinsic to downstream processesSupport tech transfer activitiesReadiness to support other Microbial Platform areas if needed (Clinical Trial Manufacturing; non-gmp Pilot Plant), for instance as a person-in-plant to facilitate scale-up of downstream processes Support Sanofi digital transformation and eco-footprint reduction goalsMaintaining Sanofi HSE standard and ensuring laboratory complianceOn occasion, present results in conferences or internal seminarsAbout YouEducation and professional ExperienceMaster’s Degree in natural science (chemical engineering, biological engineering, bioinformatics, biotechnology, biochemistry)Soft SkillsDemonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teamsResult-oriented and well-organized team player in an agile environmentTechnical SkillsExperience in protein purification and process developmentexperience in data science & common programming languages (R, Phyton); understanding of data extraction from databases, e.g. DataIKU, similar toolsExperience with PowerBI and Power Query, including programming, setting up of scripts and dashboards but also adapting existing dashboardsExperience in TFF, preparative chromatography, bioanalytical instrumentationLanguagesExcellent written and oral English language skillsAt least good written and oral German language skillsWhy choose us?Bring the miracles of science to life alongside a supportive, future-focused team.Discover endless opportunities to grow your talent and drive your career, whether it’s through a promotion or lateral move, at home or internationally.Benefit from a well-thought-out benefits package that rewards your contribution and commitment.We take care of you and your family with a wide range of health and social such as high-quality healthcare, numerous prevention programs and coverage for long-term illness.
