We're ecstatic to announce our #14 ranking on the a16z Marketplace 100 for 2023! 🎉About the RolePeek is looking for a product-minded, data-driven, and growth-oriented Data Analyst – Product, BI, and AI to turn data into meaningful insights, experiments, and product improvements. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of business intelligence, product analytics, and the exciting new frontier of AI-enabled insights.You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Leadership to understand customer behaviors, identify friction in core product flows, evaluate new features, and shape the future of Peek’s analytics ecosystem. This role is perfect for an analyst who loves SQL, understands BI tooling, thrives on deciphering customer journeys, and is excited about how AI tools can accelerate and elevate data work. You don’t need to be an AI expert — just curious, thoughtful, and excited to experiment.What You’ll Do1. Business Intelligence & ReportingDesign, build, and maintain dashboards and analytic tools using BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.Partner with teams across Product, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to deliver data insights that drive business decisions.Automate recurring reporting and data workflows using SQL, DBT, and lightweight scripting (Python or Apps Script).Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across all reporting pipelines.2. Product Analytics & InsightsAnalyze end-to-end customer journeys, funnels, drop-off points, and friction patterns to surface actionable product opportunities.Work with PMs and Engineers to define success metrics, design A/B tests, and measure feature impact.Evaluate product changes, including adoption patterns, retention effects, and impacts on core KPIs.Build and monitor key product health dashboards (activation, retention, conversion, engagement).Conduct deep-dive investigations into user behaviors to understand why customers succeed or churn.Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and stories that influence product strategy.3. AI-Driven Analytics & InnovationExperiment with AI-assisted analytics tools (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Claude) to streamline data exploration, automate repetitive tasks, and generate faster insights.Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve internal workflows or reporting efficiency.Partner with senior team members on small-scale experiments involving LLMs or natural language analytics — building your skillset as you go.Contribute to a culture of AI curiosity, responsible experimentation, and applied innovation within the analytics team.What You Bring2–5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Product Analytics, or Data Analytics in a SaaS or tech environment.Strong proficiency in SQL and comfort working with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.).Experience with BI platforms like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.Solid understanding of data visualization and storytelling principles.Strong grasp of product related metrics: activation, retention, churn, funnels, cohorts, segmentation.Working knowledge of Python, R, or Google Apps Script for data manipulation and automation (a plus, not required).Strong communicator — able to bridge technical analysis and business context.Eagerness to learn and experiment with AI tools and automation frameworks to enhance your work.English is our business language.
