You will be responsible for the end-to-end data lifecycle, from writing efficient SQL transformations in Google BigQuery to designing compelling, storytelling dashboards in Tableau.This role has a special emphasis on Private Investment Counsel (PIC) and Investment Funds. You will work closely with the PIC and Investment Fund Management (IFM) teams to translate ATBIM’s data into clear actionable insights. This analysis will support strategic decision-making and positioning within the market and competitive landscape. You will champion the modernization of our reporting, moving us away from manual Excel processes toward automated, scalable self-serve cloud solutions. You will also play a key role in maintaining data governance standards and ensuring the operational health of our data pipelines.This is a 16-month full-time term position ending on 2027-03-31.This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 1 day on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.AccountabilitiesInvestment Analytics & Visualization:Design intuitive, user-friendly, and visually compelling Tableau dashboards that effectively communicate key metrics, including fund risk and return profiles, and profitability.Build proof-of-concept visualizations and interactive tools to support sales enablement and the strategic reporting needs of our investment funds.Analyze large datasets to identify trends and tell complex data stories that allow stakeholders (Executives, PIC, IFM, Sales, Compliance) to make prescriptive and data-driven decisions.Collaborate with ATBIM stakeholders to define strategic reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications for visualizations.Data Modelling & Engineering:Write complete and efficient SQL queries within BigQuery to transform, aggregate, and clean raw data into analysis-ready datasets.Develop and maintain reliable data models that serve as the “single source of truth” for business reporting, replacing redundant manual data extraction processes.Identify opportunities to streamline legacy Excel/Google Sheet reporting, reducing redundancies and automating data ingestion into the cloud environment.Manage the setup of new data ingestions and troubleshoot data issues, coordinating efforts between vendors and internal technical teams (TIE).Data Governance & Operations:Collaborate with the Data Governance team to define, implement, and enforce data policies and standards.Conduct quarterly access reviews for sensitive and protected data assets within BigQuery and Tableau to ensure security compliance.Implement data validation checks and alerts to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data, prioritizing the reliability of our Investment Fund reporting.Skills, Experience & RequirementsMaster’s degree or PhD in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence. Experience within the Wealth or Asset Management industry is highly desirable.Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in SQL (specifically Google BigQuery) for data transformation and aggregation. Experience moving data workflows from Excel/Spreadsheets to SQL environments is a strong plus.Visualization: High proficiency with Tableau Desktop, with a portfolio of experience creating interactive dashboards, publishing to Tableau Server, and optimizing dashboards for performance (fast load times). A passion for using data visualization to simplify complex stories is essential.Domain Knowledge: Experience working with Investment Funds data is highly desirable. Familiarity with asset management industry terms and concepts such as Bonds, Equities, ETFs Mutual Funds reporting will be an advantage.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical analysis into actionable insights for non-technical business partners.Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies, streamline inefficient reporting processes, and ensure data quality across multiple systems.Familiarity with data governance principles, including access control reviews and data privacy standards.Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in Investment Operations and Compliance.Don’t meet all the requirements on the list?A resume only goes so far in expressing who you are and the unique perspectives you bring.
