This role involves working on a 6-12 month contract outside IR35, offering a hybrid work arrangement based in the Midlands. The primary focus is on designing and implementing robust data structures that underpin the new platform, enabling enhanced operational performance and insightful analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data modelling, and system integration, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a transformative project, ensuring data flows seamlessly and accurately across the new system environment.QualificationsProven experience in data analysis, data modelling, and data mapping within application rebuilds or migration projects.Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly SQL, and familiarity with semi-structured data formats such as JSON.Experience in producing detailed source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and technical specifications for data integration.Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, solution architects, and business stakeholders.Knowledge of data quality management, data lineage, and governance principles.Previous experience working in complex operational environments such as retail, manufacturing, property, or ERP/CPQ systems is advantageous.Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving and documentation.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and document current (as-is) data structures, including JSON-based and SQL sources, to understand existing data flows and dependencies.Design and define the future (to-be) data model, establishing entity relationships, data dictionaries, and data lineage to support the new platform architecture.Develop comprehensive source-to-target mappings to facilitate data migration and ensure seamless system integration.Collaborate closely with solution architects, developers, and business SMEs to ensure the data model aligns with operational and analytical requirements.Identify and address data quality issues early in the project lifecycle, implementing validation and correction procedures as needed.Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, data governance standards, and system specifications to support project delivery.Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for data considerations throughout the application rebuild, ensuring data integrity and consistency are maintained from design through deployment.BenefitsOur client offers a competitive daily rate of £510 and a flexible hybrid working environment based in the Midlands.
