Data AnalystMust be located in New Orleans, LA currently Pay: $45-$55/hr Required Skills & Experience- Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a related role.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.Nice to Have Skills & Experience- Experience with Oracle Cloud databases and Microsoft Fabric for data integration and analysis.- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python, Apache Spark).- Knowledge of utility or energy industry operations.- Certifications: Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Fabric, Tableau/Power BI certificationJob DescriptionThe client is undergoing a large-scale data transformation and is expanding its analytics team to support growing business needs. This role will be responsible for preparing, validating, and packaging data for business consumption. Analysts will work across both backend (Oracle) and frontend (Microsoft Fabric or Azure) platforms to ensure data accuracy and usability.The ideal candidate will have experience with:Oracle databases and cloud suitesAzure Data Factory and SQLStrong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environmentsThis team is scaling quickly, and communication with business stakeholders will be supported by a dedicated PM to allow analysts to focus on data delivery.Key Responsibilities:- Gather, clean, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources,- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics using Power BI and other visualization tools.- Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.- Partner with internal teams to support business planning and operational improvements.- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.- Ensure compliance with data governance standards and maintain data integrity.- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, within your scope of responsibilities.
