Company DescriptionThe Data Strategy and Solution (DSS) team owns the research, creation, and maintenance of all 27,000+ distinct Label Insight attributes. This team is composed of industry experts including dietitians, food scientists, chemists, regulatory and product formulation experts. The Global Data Governance team within DSS is responsible for the quality and maintenance of our proprietary taxonomies: claims, certifications, ingredients, nutrients, and categories that are the foundation of all Label Insight data. The Global Data Governance Analyst is detail-oriented, able to make fast, but thoughtful decisions around NIQ and Label Insight data, regulations, and trends in the FMCG and grocery industries.
You will receive on-the-job training for creating and managing Label Insight data taxonomies which will enable various LI-powered solutions within NIQ. Your willingness to use new NIQ platforms, learn new skills like data review, analysis, and coding will help build and maintain our data quality and, ultimately, enable customer health, trust, and new growth opportunitiesJob DescriptionManage the processing of globally sourced, English language data that powers attribution for various solutions.
This includes on-package marketing text, ingredients, and nutrient data Interpret, analyze, and clearly communicate our data and taxonomy structure Audit, improve and develop internal database taxonomiesExpand our database to align with growing market trends and global expansion projectsLearn simple coding language to build and maintain LI attribute-powered solutionsWork with customer success teams to investigate and resolve customer inquirieQualificationsUniversity degree, bachelor's degree or equivalent Native speaker or high proficiency in the English language - both orally and in writing.
Comfortable understand different accentsProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)Comfortable learning new technology platforms (Coding, BI tools, GitHub, etc. )Detail-oriented with the desire and ability to pick up new skills quicklyComfortable with tedious and repetitive tasksSelf-motivated and able to manage deadlines and time on projects independentlyExperience in data quality management, data review, or data cleaning is preferredTechnical mastery of: BI and data querying tools and languages including: Looker, Power BI, Solr, SQL, and ElasticSearchInternal NIQ tools and databases including: Label Insight NPE, Label Insight Explore 4.
