Support and oversee the development of detailed technical specifications from business requirements by maintaining strong expertise in D&A and related Back-End Systems and data sources. Manage a team of data engineers responsible for implementing the technology solution. Provide mentorship and guidance to a small team of data engineers contributing to the analytical platform. Collaborate with engineers on technical deliverables. ExperienceMinimum:At least 4 years’ experience implementing BI and Data Visualisation solutions and supporting architectureProduct development life cyclePreference will be given to candidates who has experience with Microsoft fabric and power BiIn depth knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing best practicesIn depth knowledge of BI environments, solutions and implementations (end-to-end BI architecture andtechnologies)Expert in the field of BI development (reports, dashboards, data visualisation, etc.)A good understanding of design and user experience principlesQualifications (Minimum)Diploma in Information Technology - Systems Engineering Qualifications (Ideal Or Preferred)Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems KnowledgeMinimumMust have detailed knowledge of:Data Warehouse Development Life CycleDimensional modellingFinancial systems and proceduresUML or equivalent modelling languageTechnical Test Plan DesignIT systems development processesApplication developmentStandards and governanceIdealDetailed knowledge of:Banking systems environmentBanking business modelAgile development life cycleBest practices for Quality Assurance (QA)Conditions of EmploymentClear criminal and credit record Capitec is committed to diversity, applications to this position will strictly be considered in support of our employment equity goals.
