In the role as our new Data Architect for the Data Governance domain you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. As an architect, you will be involved in advising the organization and creating designs as well as applying solutions that improve the management, safeguarding, and usage of our data. You will design and implement data governance frameworks, shape data models and architectures that support governance objectives, and translate strategy into operational initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in data quality, compliance and resiliency.The team you will be part ofYou will be part of our Data Architecture team, working closely with a broader Architect community, data owners, data stewards and cross‑functional delivery teams to ensure our data practices are robust, scalable and aligned with our Data Strategy. You will focus on both analytics tools and the systems that run core business processes, and work in close collaboration with our Data Governance Lead.In the Data Architecture team, we work collaboratively, pragmatic and outcome‑oriented. We value clear communication, shared ownership, and fast iteration, combining strategic thinking and able to accomplish tasks. Our aspiration is to make data governance an enabler for innovation, AI, and reliable decision-making across GN.Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:Assess the current state of data governance and define roadmaps to close those gaps in alignment with our goals and Data StrategyDevelop and implement data governance frameworks, policies and procedures that ensure high data quality and regulatory complianceOversee the design and implementation of relevant tooling to support data governance activities, such as data cataloguesDesign data models and architectures that support governance objectives and enable data integrations and accessibility across systemsCollaborate closely with the architect community, data owners and data stewards to align governance initiatives with business needs and technology roadmapsIdentify and mitigate data risks, enforce privacy and security standards, and contribute to data resiliency planningDesign and implement data quality assurance processes and tooling to monitor and improve data reliability and resiliencyProvide training, guidance and support to stakeholders and teams on governance practices, tools and responsibilitiesTo perform well in the role, we imagine that youHold a degree in Engineering, IT, Business or another related fieldAre a solution‑focused architect who both advises and delivers on operational tasksExcel at stakeholder management and bridge architects, data owners, stewards and delivery teamsTranslate complex technical and regulatory requirements into practical business solutionsAre execution‑oriented, turning insight into deliveryPrior exposure to data governance in AI contexts can be relevant as these topics often occurAt GN we pride ourselves on encouraging flexible working whenever possible.
