You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical delivery, guiding project teams from data platform design to implementation and operationalization.The ideal candidate is comfortable engaging with business stakeholders, defining architectural blueprints, and being part of multidisciplinary delivery teams that turn those designs into working solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesEngage with clients to understand their business objectives, data landscape, and technology ecosystemDesign and implement modern data architectures, covering ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption, aligned with each client’s requirements and technology stackAct as the technical authority for data-related decisions within delivery teams, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of implemented solutionsWork hands-on in projects, collaborating closely with data engineers, data analysts, and cloud specialists to deliver end-to-end data solutionsProvide technical leadership in setting up and optimizing data platforms in cloud and hybrid environmentsGuide clients on data governance, security, and compliance best practicesContribute to Endava’s data architecture & engineering community of practice, sharing knowledge and helping evolve delivery standards, accelerators and reusable frameworksQualifications7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related rolesStrong expertise in data modeling, data integration, and data pipeline design for analytical and operational workloadsProven experience with cloud-based data ecosystems, particularly in one or more of the following:Microsoft Azure (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, Purview)Amazon Web Services (AWS) (S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena)Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub)Practical experience with modern data platforms and tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Apache Spark, or AirflowStrong hands-on knowledge of SQL and Python (or Scala) for data engineering tasksFamiliarity with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and security-by-design principlesProven experience in client-facing environments; ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions and effectively communicate with both business and technical stakeholdersExperience leading technical delivery teams and mentoring data professionals.Additional InformationDiscover some of the global benefits that empower our people to become the best version of themselves:Finance:Competitive salary package, share plan, company performance bonuses, value-based recognition awards, referral bonus; Career Development:Career coaching, global career opportunities, non-linear career paths, internal development programmes for management and technical leadership;Learning Opportunities:Complex projects, rotations, internal tech communities, training, certifications, coaching, online learning platforms subscriptions, pass-it-on sessions, workshops, conferences;Work-Life Balance:Hybrid work and flexible working hours, employee assistance programme;Health:Global internal wellbeing programme, access to wellbeing apps;Community:Global internal tech communities, hobby clubs and interest groups, inclusion and diversity programmes, events and celebrations.At Endava, we’re committed to creating an open, inclusive, and respectful environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to be their best.
