The mission is clear: bring Data, BI, Analytics, and AI together into a single high-performing capability.The RoleIn this role, you will sit at the heart of the data platform, shaping architecture decisions that impact the entire business.You will:Define and own the end-to-end data architecture strategy across a Snowflake-based modern data platformTranslate business requirements into clear technical designs, models, and implementation standardsWork closely with Data Engineers to guide how solutions are built, not just what is builtAct as the architectural authority across decentralised teams, reviewing and challenging design patternsDesign scalable, performant data models that support analytics, BI, and AI use casesEmbed data quality, governance, and “data-as-code” principles throughout the platformActively use AI tools in your day-to-day work and identify where AI can enhance data architecture, quality, and automationThis is a hands-on role: you will be designing, influencing, and getting into the detail alongside engineering teams.What They’re Looking ForYou’ll need a strong technical core and real-world experience operating at platform level:Data architecture experience in a production environment (Data Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar)Snowflake architecture experienceData modelling expertise (dimensional modelling, Data Vault, 3NF)Cloud platform experience (Azurw or AWS or GCP)SQL proficiency and strong database design fundamentalsPython experience for data architecture, automation, or toolingExperience beyond pipelines, data infrastructure, modelling standards, and platform designHands-on mindset (this is not a consultancy or advisory-only role)What You’ll Work WithSnowflake Data CloudDBTDagsterModern ELT tooling (Fivetran, Airbyte, or similar)PythonCloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)Git, CI/CD pipelines, data-as-code practicesAI tooling (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, or similar)Nice to HavesSnowPro Core certificationBI tooling experience (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)Data catalog or metadata toolingData governance and privacy knowledge (e.g. GDPR)Kubernetes or containerisation exposureExperience in data-intensive or regulated industriesWhy Join / ProjectsThis is a chance to join at the beginning of a data transformation, not the tail end.You’ll be part of:Newly formed innovation squads focused on real customer impactCutting-edge use of AI across data quality, metadata, and analyticsA platform being designed for scale, performance, and future AI capabilityA highly collaborative environment where architecture decisions genuinely matterYou’ll report directly into the Data Platform & AI leadership and have real influence over how the data ecosystem evolves.Data Architect | Snowflake & AI | Building a Modern Data Platform
