Data Architect (Snowflake)

Snowflake Data Architect Location: Stockholm (Hybrid, 2–3 days per week on-site) Duration: 12 months Start Date: ASAPWe are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Architect to join our client on a 12-month freelance engagement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in data architecture and engineering, with deep expertise in Snowflake and modern data warehousing solutions. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams to design, govern, and deliver high-quality data products.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with business teams and developers to translate business requirements into robust data architecture solutions.Define data roadmaps, estimation, and technical product governance processes.Design and optimize Snowflake data warehouse environments for performance, scalability, and security.Architect and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from large enterprise systems.Develop and maintain dimensional data models, including fact and dimension tables for compliance and risk reporting.Ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization.Implement and enforce data security protocols, including encryption, access control, and privacy compliance.Support integration with Power BI for reporting and analytics purposes.Key CompetenciesDigital Competencies: Snowflake, Data Architecture, Data ModelingStrong understanding of SQL for complex data transformations.Familiarity with data governance best practices and metadata management.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with both business and technical teams.Experience & Qualifications8+ years of experience in Data Architecture and Data Engineering.Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake (design, optimization, management).Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT design, dimensional modeling, and data security protocols.Experience integrating data for compliance and risk reporting.Working knowledge of Power BI or similar visualization tools.Previous experience in hybrid or enterprise-scale data environments preferred.
