Data Architect Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to design, create, deploy, and manage our organization's data architecture. The ideal candidate will define how data is stored, consumed, integrated, and managed across various data entities and IT systems. You will align the data architecture with business requirements and IT strategy, creating a blueprint for effective data management that supports our organizational goals. Your role will be pivotal in optimizing data systems and ensuring data security, integrity, and accessibility.Key Responsibilities:Designing and Implementing Data Architecture:Develop and maintain scalable, secure data systems that meet performance and scalability requirements.Design data models, databases, and storage frameworks while maintaining data integrity and security.Ensure integration, optimization, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.Conduct regular reviews, updates, and effectively communicate architectural changes to stakeholders.Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure continuous operation and performance.Data Integration and Quality Assurance:Integrate data from various sources seamlessly.Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and availability.Conduct regular data audits and quality checks.Develop and enforce data quality standards.Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues.Adhere to data quality standards and procedures, maintain high levels of data quality and reliability, and report on data quality metrics and improvements.Ensuring Data Security and Compliance:Implement data security measures and governance policies to ensure data integrity and protection against breaches.Monitor, enforce, and comply with data privacy regulations and regulatory standards.Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate security risks promptly.Optimizing Data Performance:Regular monitoring and optimization of data systems to ensure they meet business performance needs.Tuning data systems for efficient access and real-time insights to help maintain optimal speeds and reliability.Timely resolution of performance issues, along with thorough documentation of improvements and changes.Implement performance optimization strategies.Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks.Continuous improvement of data system performance.Collaborating with Stakeholders and Staying Updated:Work with stakeholders to define data requirements.Develop strategies for data solutions.Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.Communicate data strategies and updates to stakeholders.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.At least 5 to 10 years of experience in database administration, data management, or a similar role.Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and database technologies. Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing solutions.Understanding how to design and implement data models that accurately represent business processes and data relationships.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud data solutions and platforms such as Azure.Professional certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect.Experience with data Lakehouses, particularly Databricks and/or Azure Fabric.Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
