Our compact, high-performing tech team is actively involved across all parts of the business and investment lifecycle.The RoleWe need a hands-on Data & Automation Engineer to join our technology team. You will report to and work directly with the Lead Engineer across process automation, data engineering, AI tooling, and internal software development.This isn’t a support role. The tools you build will be used daily across the firm. You’ll see the impact of what you build.Who we are looking forWe need people who understand code deeply enough to direct AI effectively, review its output critically, and debug when things go wrong. We move fast because of these tools, and we need someone who can keep up with that pace.If you’ve already been experimenting with AI-assisted coding — prompting LLMs to write code, iterating the output, building things faster than you thought possible — you’ll fit right in.What You’ll Be Working OnBuilding and maintaining automation tools — document processing, data extraction, workflow orchestrationDeveloping web applications and internal portalsWorking with databases — queries, schema management, API integrationsContributing to AI/ML pipelines: document parsing, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)Packaging and deploying tools for non-technical users across the firmMaintaining and extending existing Python and TypeScript codebasesWhat We’re Looking ForA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related fieldSolid fundamentals in Python — you need to understand what good code looks like, whether you wrote it or an AI didSome exposure to SQL and relational databasesFamiliarity with web development basics (JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus)Comfortable in the terminal and with version control (Git)Experience working with AI coding tools — Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, or similar. We care less about which tool and more about the mindset: you treat AI as a workflow, not a novelty1–2 years of professional experience or strong internship exposure in software engineering, data engineering, or AI-driven environment.Problem-solving instincts and attention to detailAbility to take a loosely defined task and figure out the path forwardNice to Have (Not Required)Experience with any of: Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, Supabase, or similar modern web frameworksExposure to cloud platforms or services (GCP, AWS, or similar)Familiarity with data parsing/extraction (PDFs, Excel, email)Experience with no-code/low-code automation platforms such as Make.com or n8nWhat We OfferDirect mentorship — you’ll work closely with the lead engineer day to dayExposure across the full stack: backend, frontend, databases, AI, DevOps, and productOwnership of projects from early on — what you build will shape how our business operatesCompetitive remuneration package
