Data & BI Architect

Data & BI ArchitectWe're looking for a highly skilled Data & BI Architect to join our team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of our data, from source to insight, ensuring our data systems are robust, efficient, and scalable. Your expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Python, and DBT will be critical in managing our data pipelines and powering our business intelligence capabilities. Responsibilities: Architect and develop our data infrastructure, including dimensional data models, within Microsoft SQL Server.

Design, implement, and manage robust Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) pipelines using DBT to create production-ready data models. Write and maintain custom Python scripts to support data ingestion and automation, ensuring accurate and timely data is available for the business. Optimize and fine-tune the performance of our SQL Server database and data models to ensure efficiency and speed for end-users. Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to translate data needs into clear, actionable data architectures and reporting solutions. Establish and enforce data governance strategies, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security across the organization.

Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive reporting suite using Microsoft Power BI. Provide guidance and training to end-users to empower them to effectively use our BI and reporting tools. Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data management, analytics, and business intelligence to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Data Architect, Analytics Engineer, or a similar data-focused role. Proven experience in designing and developing scalable data models and data warehouses. Expert-level knowledge of SQL (T-SQL) and strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.

Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and data modelling. Solid understanding of data governance principles, data quality, and metadata management. Experience with Microsoft Power BI for building dashboards and reports. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
