You will work at the intersection of scalable data pipelines and backend services.We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Center Facility Engineer to join our dynamic Operations team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the 24/7 availability, security, and optimal performance of our state-of-the-art data center infrastructure. You are the guardian of our critical environment, where your technical expertise and proactive mindset will directly contribute to the reliability of services for our global clients.Key Responsibilities24/7 Operations & Monitoring: Perform shift duties to manage and monitor all data center operations, including power, cooling, and fire/life safety systems through the Building Management System (BMS).Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and lead immediate troubleshooting and corrective actions for all critical facility equipment (e.g., UPS, generators, chillers, PDUs).Vendor & Project Supervision: Manage and supervise external vendors and contractors to ensure all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety, in accordance with contractual agreements and our internal procedures.Incident & Change Management: Respond promptly to facility incidents, participate in root cause analysis, and support the rollout of infrastructure projects with minimal impact to operations.Safety & Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of safety, ensuring strict adherence to all protocols, including Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.Asset & Inventory Management: Assist in managing site inventory, spare parts, and the procurement process for necessary supplies.Qualifications & ExperienceWe are looking for:A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in a critical facility environment (e.g., Data Center, Telecom, Hospital, or Mission-Critical Industrial plant).Strong fundamental knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems, including power distribution, UPS, DRUPS, chillers, and precision air conditioning units.Hands-on experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) or SCADA systems for monitoring and control.A strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.Willingness and ability to work on a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends.What Will Make You Stand Out:Relevant certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) or similar.Specific experience with data center infrastructure equipment.Previous experience in supervising contractors and managing vendor relationships.Familiarity with asset management and procurement processes.
