As a dedicated business line within CBRE, DCS is dedicated to solving complex challenges within every stage of the data centre lifecycle.We provide our employees the best conditions to develop professionally and personally and to realise their full potential in the course of their career.Join us now in Porsgrunn (Telemark / Norway) and bring your unique talent and skills to our Team.YOUR CHALLENGES & TASKS The main purpose of this role as "Critical Facility Manager / Data Center Manager" is to manage our site and its critical environment technically and to ensure 24/7 Operations as well as a proper delivery of our contracted technical services to the client on the agreed site in terms of quality, health & safety and finance.Your Key Responsibilities In DetailProvide leadership, and that contractual commitments are met and exceededManage all mechanical and electrical maintenance & services activities on the contracted site incl. managing the cross-functional teamEnsure that opportunities for the strategic development of the contract are explored, to deliver increased turnover and profitability, ensure additional services and projects are added, and contracts are re-won on re-tenderEnsure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both our teams’ services and subcontractors’ activities and are regularly reviewEnsure contracts are staffed by fully competent teams, ensuring post holders are fully competent, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in placeEnsure appropriate control systems to ensure statutory, policy and contractual commitments are metEnsuring a customer focus within all areas of operational activities, and that effective relationships are maintained with key client contactsProvision of leadership and guidance, advice, coaching and direct support, where required to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment and recognition/rewardDelivering effective business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management and team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as appropriateYour Supervisory Responsibilities In DetailProvides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational areaRecommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and terminationPlans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtimePrepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
