The shift engineer has oversight of 24x7 operation of engineering systems, leads incident resolution and is familiar with all engineering processes associated with the Facility.Ngā mahi o ia rā – Daily tasks:Operations Management - including emergency response; maintenance; trouble shooting; system monitoring; engineering records; shift workRisk Management & Business Continuity - including process testing; 24x7 availabilityService Management - including power requests; request response; communicationStakeholder Management - including communication; escalationsContinuous Improvement - operational maturity; trainingTō wheako - Your experience:Relevant work experience in a critical environment, working with the operation of building cooling, electrical, mechanical, life safety systems, Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) and Building Monitoring Systems (BMS)Electrical certification (NZCE – Electrical) or a NZ Registered ElectricianExperienced in the operation of all PBS systems including proficiency in the operation of BMSExperience and proficiency with common desktop applications, particularly ExcelDemonstrates Ability to effectively analyse, resolve & communicate technical issues in service angles with understanding of the complexities of operating mission critical Data Centres & Network BuildingsEasily works with personnel at all levels, clients, internal stakeholders, Data Centre service line and supplier organizations to drive SLA commitmentsStrives to create an excellent team climate with rewards & recognition to drive performance & standards to meet and exceed the operational requirementsAbility to provide 24x7 shift coverageKnowledge of Uptime Institute, TIA-942 Telecommunication Industry Association standard for Data Centres and/or ANSI/BICSI StandardsProven experience in supporting positive team cultureIf you're someone with a positive attitude and would love exposure to some amazing growth opportunities, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
