Position: Data Engineer - Snowflake Location: Helsinki - Finland Contract Type: Freelance (B2B)We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with extensive hands on experience with Snowflake to join one of our global banking clients on one of their major Data Platform projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on designing robust data pipelines and optimizing data systems for performance and scale. The client are looking to source a large amount of data from Kafka into Snowflake.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement reliable data ingestion pipelines from Kafka into SnowflakeOrganize and structure data for fast and efficient retrieval, with a strong focus on matching and sorting payment inflowsEnsure accurate and scalable payment matching and reconciliationOptimize Snowflake performance to support low-latency querying and analyticsConnect Power BI or other search/UI tools to Snowflake to enable intuitive data explorationOrganise data for fast retrievalRequirements:5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering rolesProven experience working with Kafka and SnowflakeStrong understanding of data modeling, partitioning, and performance tuning in SnowflakeFamiliarity with payment data or similar high-volume transaction data setsExperience integrating data warehouses with BI and search tools (e.g., Power BI)If you meet the requirements and are excited about this opportunity, apply now for an urgent discussion about the role and next steps!
