Competitive compensation + meaningful early-stage equityThe RoleWe’re looking for a Data Engineer to take ownership of our data infrastructure and power our GenAI-driven solutions that make decarbonization seamless.As our first data engineer, you’ll define how data powers our products and insights.What You’ll Be DoingBuild and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines for collection, cleaning, and transformation. Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and customer success teams to design and deliver data solutions that enable advanced analytics, modeling, and insights. Ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across multiple systems. Support analytics, reporting, and decision-making through clean, well-structured datasets. What We’re Looking ForStrong programming skills in Python. Proficiency in SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing large datasets. Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/data pipelines (e.g., Airflow, dbt). Proven experience working with cloud data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Snowflake. Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and best practices for scalable, maintainable architectures. Bonus: Experience with GenAI or LLM-related data workflows, including vector databases, embeddings, or prompt pipelines. Logistics:Work Authorization: Authorization to work in Canada is required. Location: This is a hybrid role requiring 2–3 days of in-person collaboration per week.
