Data Engineer

Freelance Data EngineerContract: 15th November 2025 – 15th November 2026Location: Belgium (50% on-site / 50% remote)Languages: Fluent Dutch, French, and EnglishMust reside in Belgium and hold the right to work in BelgiumWe are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of reliable data assets for reporting, analytics, and applications.This role combines on-site collaboration with remote work, allowing you to deliver solutions that have a real impact across the organisation.Responsibilities:Work with stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements.Design and implement data flows, models, and storage solutions.Identify and integrate data sources, applying business and technical rules.Build prototypes to validate solutions with business teams.Develop logical and physical data models for efficient integration.Optimise data pipelines for enterprise-wide use.Requirements:Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, mathematics, engineering); PhD or strong analytics experience in other fields is a plus.Minimum 6 years in data analytics, preferably with banking and project management experience.Proficiency in SAS EG, SQL, and Oracle.Experience with Python, Power BI, Excel, SharePoint, and Tableau is a plus.Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.Must reside in Belgium and hold the right to work in BelgiumStrong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.If you meet these requirements and are looking for a freelance opportunity in Belgium, please apply.
