The ideal candidate will have strong data engineering skills and play a critical role in building and managing our data architecture, creating data marts, and orchestrating data pipelines to support BI initiatives. This role requires expertise in designing scalable data solutions, a solid understanding of data engineering principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a BI team and various functions.Are You Someone Who CanCreate and manage data marts to streamline data access and enhance data quality for BI reporting.Collaborate with BI analysts and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into optimized data structures.Optimise data mart design to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval, supporting both ad hoc and standardised BI reporting.Develop, implement, and manage ETL/ELT data pipelines, ensuring the efficient movement, transformation, and integration of data from multiple sources.Leverage orchestration tools (e.g.,Ab Initio, SSAS & SSIS, ControlM, SAS, etc.) to automate data workflows, ensuring reliability and scalability of data operations.Ensure pipeline performance and troubleshoot any issues with data flows, aiming for high availability and minimal latency in data delivery.Implement and enforce data quality controls and data governance processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards.Collaborate with BI and data governance teams to create data quality checks and validation routines across data pipelines.Monitor data lineage, maintain data documentation, and support data auditing processes for regulatory and internal compliance.Optimise data storage, query performance, and data retrieval speeds across data marts and pipelines.Work with databases, data warehousing solutions, and data lakes to ensure that infrastructure is optimised for BI reporting needs.Engage in proactive performance tuning of SQL queries and data structures to support fast and reliable access to BI insights.Partner closely with BI analysts, data scientists, and other data professionals to ensure that data structures and pipelines meet business requirements.Work collaboratively with team members to design data engineering solutions that support analytical and reporting initiatives across the organisation.Provide technical support to BI team members in data integration, debugging data issues, and optimising data workflows.You Will Be An Ideal Candidate If You HaveMinimum Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering roleRelevant Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Relevant degree. Proven experience in creation of data products using Data Engineering concepts.Expertise in SQL and experience with database technologies such as Teradata and SQL Server. Proficient in BI tools, particularly PowerBI, and a strong understanding of ETL concepts and OLAP cubes. Strong experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on data pipeline orchestration, data mart development, and data architecture.Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes and tools such as Ab Initio, SSAS, SSIS, or similar orchestration tools.Hands-on experience with database systems (e.g., SQL Server, SAS etc..) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Teradata, Amazon Redshift).Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, data aggregation, and performance tuning.Experience with data quality processes, governance frameworks, and data validation techniques.Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data modeling, storage optimisation, and data lineage.Experience working in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.You Will Have Access ToOpportunities to network and collaborate.Challenging work environment.Opportunities to innovate.We Can Be a Match If You AreCurious & courageous - you're driven by always wanting to know more and learn more and you're brave enough.Obsessed with mastery - you know what it takes to become good at what you do and are constantly pushing yourself to do it.Are you interested to take the step?
