Data EngineerWe are working with a world leading E-commerce company who have a platform used by millions worldwide - and data is at the heart of it. Their systems already process thousands of messages per second, powering real-time learning, analytics, and reporting at global scale. We're looking for a Data Engineer to join the platform team. You'll help design, build, and run pipelines and services on a modern data stack (Kafka, AWS, Iceberg, Kubernetes), collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and product teams across multiple regions.What you'll doBuild & maintain streaming and batch pipelinesDevelop our Lakehouse (AWS S3 + Iceberg)Ensure data is trustworthy, accessible, and reusableImplement schemas, contracts, and observabilitySupport compliance with global data regulationsWhat you'll bringGood working experience in data engineeringHands-on with Kafka/Pulsar/KinesisStrong SQL & relational DBs (Postgres/MySQL)Coding experience in Java/ScalaCloud (AWS preferred) + Infrastructure-as-Code familiaritySolid understanding of ETL/ELT and data modelingNice to have: Iceberg/Delta/Hudi, Airflow/Dagster/Prefect, Python/TypeScript, data governance.
