Data Engineer

Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric & Azure(6-12 month contract)We are looking for a technically strong Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Azure Data Pipelines (Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines), a good understanding of SQL & Python, Power BI and database concepts. The ideal candidate should be able to build, manage, and optimize data pipelines and resources & provide day-to-day support, monitoring, and troubleshooting for the data platform, ensuring smooth pipeline operations and timely issue resolution.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration of data.Work with Data Engineering components such as Data Factory/Fabric Pipelines, Dataflows, Lakehouse, and related services.Optimize and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.Develop, publish, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets.Provide day-to-day support, monitoring, and troubleshooting for the data platform, ensuring smooth pipeline operations and timely issue resolution.Monitor and optimize pipelines for cost efficiency, performance, and reliability.Support data validation, testing, and documentation activities.Required Skills & Experience2–5 years of experience in Data Engineering.Hands-on experience in Azure / Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines & other resources.Strong knowledge of SQL with relational database concepts.Understanding of data warehousing, data modelling, and ETL/ELT concepts.Experience with Azure cloud services (e.g., Fabric Lakehouse, Storage, Dataflows, ADF).Ability to analyze data and troubleshoot pipeline/data quality issues.Experience with Python or Spark for data processing.Good knowledge of Power Query, DAX, and data modeling.Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required to communicate effectively with counterparties based in China.
