We have validated our software solution (300+ clients) and the market opportunity.The Data Engineer will work on the Data/Analytics technology team and be responsible for designing and developing data pipelines, structures, and imports, as well as the creation of data-empowered dashboards, reports, and analytics in order to provide actionable insights for stakeholders. In addition to collaborating with the Data/Analytics team, you will regularly engage with Product Management and Client Success, and occasionally with external partners to define and deliver on their needs. This role will also assist in projects that address data reporting needs at Neighborly Software, build components of data engineering foundations, and power many aspects of our product and software offerings!We welcome applications from all qualified candidates; however, preference will be given to those residing in Georgia. This role is ONLY open to U.S. citizens and individuals holding permanent residency (green card).🎯 WHAT YOU'LL DOBuild and maintain datasets and pipelines within our data warehouse technology, SnowflakeDesign/Develop data pipelines leveraging Azure Data Factory (ADF) ToolsDevelop SQL in Azure-SQL and Snowflake technologiesUtilize technologies such as Kafka, Databricks, SnowSQL, and SnowpipeAdd to and maintain data streaming services, such as Kafka and Kafka ConnectUse programming languages such as Python and C# for data management, analysis, import, and export pipelinesAssist in data acquisition from 3rd party sources and datasetsCollaboratively identify ways to improve data reliability, governance, monitoring, efficiency, and qualityUse large data sets to address business issues, such as client reporting requests and internal insightsTroubleshoot SQL queries against multiple data sourcesDeploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning, and statistical methodsPrepare data for predictive and prescriptive modelingFind hidden patterns using data for trends such as productivity workflows, and user insightsUse data to reduce redundancies and inefficiencies using automationDeliver updates to stakeholders based on analyticsAssist in the development of Power BI report/dashboard🌟 WHO YOU ARE & WHAT YOU BRINGQualification:2-4 years of experience in data/analytics and ETL/ELT best practices2-4 years of experience of working with data warehouse technologies, specifically Snowflake, Azure Synapse or AWS Redshift2-4 years of experience in SQL2-4 years of experience using the Python programming language1-2 years of BI Reporting tool such as PowerBI or Tableau1-2 years of experience in data pipeline developmentNice to have Experience:API creation and usage experienceFamiliarity with Azure Data Factory *Familiarity with Kafka and Kafka Connect *Familiarity with Spark/DatabricksFamiliarity with OOP programming languages*Familiarity with Azure Services like Logic Apps, Power AppsFamiliarity with monitoring or logging technologiesFamiliarity with Azure DevOps CICD, SDLC Tools like JIRA/ConfluenceAdditional Requirements:This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship at this timeThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as describedThis role is Atlanta-based, with a hybrid schedule working from our Atlanta Tech Village office in Buckhead💰 WHAT WE OFFERExcellent benefits (health, vision, dental, mental health, parental leave, 401k, loan assistance)Professional development budgetGrowth opportunities – we love promoting from within!Neighborly Software is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
