About The RoleWe are looking for a motivated Data Engineer Intern with a foundational understanding of Power BI, SQL, Python, and data concepts. The ideal candidate is eager to learn how to design, build, and optimize end-to-end data solutions, contribute to solving real-world data challenges, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesData Modelling & VisualizationAssist in building scalable and high-quality data models in Power BI under the guidance of senior team members. Support defining relationships, hierarchies, and measures for effective data storytelling. Help ensure dashboards meet standards in accuracy, visualization principles, and timelines. Data Transformation & ETLLearn and perform data transformation using Power Query (M Language) and SQL. Support the design and optimization of ETL pipelines using Python and other relevant tools. Work with large datasets from different sources to clean, prepare, and process data. Business Problem TranslationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and assist in converting them into data solutions. Help identify relevant datasets and contribute to data validation activities. Performance & TroubleshootingSupport in monitoring and optimizing dashboard performance and data pipelines. Assist in troubleshooting data-related issues under supervision, ensuring reliability and accuracy. Analytical StorytellingLearn how to create impactful dashboards and visual reports that communicate insights effectively. Contribute to developing clear data narratives that support business decisions. Solution DesignParticipate in brainstorming sessions to design proof-of-concepts (POCs) and dashboards aligned with business requirements. Assist in documenting solution approaches and data workflows. Required Skills & QualificationsPursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Basic knowledge of Power BI, including DAX and Power Query (M Language). Working understanding of Python and SQL for data manipulation and automation. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Eagerness to learn data visualization best practices and performance optimization. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred (Good To Have) Familiarity with Big Data concepts or tools such as:PySpark Hadoop / Hive / HDFS Spark Streaming (optional but a plus) Exposure to tools like DAX Studio or Tabular Editor.
