You will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of data architectures, supporting data quality and governance practices, fostering best practices in data engineering, and collaborating with other engineers. You apply your bright ideas, and together with an experienced team of over 800 brilliant people, you create value-driven custom solutions.Your daily tasks will includeDesigning and implement data pipelines and workflows, ensuring efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processesMonitoring and optimizing data pipeline performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure seamless data flowAssisting in designing and developing enterprise-level data architectures to create scalable and efficient data processing pipelinesContributing to the creation of technical roadmaps and data strategies that drive data initiativesExploring and evaluating new data technologies and methodologies, developing proof-of-concepts to validate their applicabilityCollaborating with senior engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and analysts to learn data engineering practices, understand data needs, and develop effective solutionsThe following will make you succeed in this roleMinimum 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer with an analytical mindset and problem-solving abilitiesExpertise with: ETL/ELT Tooling, Data Modelling, Data Catalogs, Data GovernanceHands-on experience with: Python, SQL, Java, Scala and/or Rust, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, dbt, Infrastructure as Code, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesFluency in German and EnglishWillingness to travel occasionally for project-related activities within the DACH regionWe are an equal opportunity employer.
