Data Engineer

Position Title:Data EngineerLocation:AustraliaAbout the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain efficient data pipelines and infrastructure that support analytics and business insights. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, availability, and scalability across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for structured and unstructured data.Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business teams to understand data requirements.Manage data integration from multiple sources into cloud or on-premise environments.Implement data quality checks, validation, and monitoring processes.Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and documentation.Ensure data governance, privacy, and security best practices are followed.Work with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to build scalable solutions.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related discipline.2–5 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or analytics development.Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data pipeline frameworks (e.g., Airflow, DBT).Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, or BigQuery.Strong understanding of data warehousing and database management systems.Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Strong collaboration and communication abilities.Preferred AttributesFamiliarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices.Experience working with big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop.Passion for automation, efficiency, and data innovation.Employment Type:Full-time
