Apply today!The RoleThe Data Governance Analyst supports initiatives that enhance data security, mitigate risk, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role works closely with the Data Governance Specialist, assisting in documenting and maintaining data policies, standards, and controls. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data quality, identify risks, and recommendations, while contributing to the continuous improvement of secure and compliant data management practices across the organization.Job ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development and deployment of Data Security Governance practices that help safeguard information while enabling the business to move fast and smartSupport the rollout of governance-related documents, policies, and procedures across the enterpriseAssist the Data Governance Specialist in collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and risks; helping them adopt consistent, compliant, and secure data practicesAssist in gathering and documenting business functional requirements related to data governance, security, and complianceSupport the development and maintenance of business process maps; data flows, identification of control points, and highlight areas of potential data risk or security exposureAssist with the tracking and reporting of governance activities to help inform decision-making and accountabilityParticipate in projects under the guidance of the Data Governance SpecialistAssist in the management and maintenance of Company-wide data repositoriesAssist the Data Governance Specialist in implementing data security risk remediation strategies using low-code Microsoft tools like Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint solutionsMUST HAVE SkillsBachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related fieldFamiliarity with data governance concepts, policies, and proceduresProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel; familiarity with reporting or dashboards is an assetExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAdditional SkillsKnowledge of database systems, data quality, and metadata management is an assetExperience with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint is an assetExperience in developing workflow diagrams and process maps is an assetExposure to process modeling tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart etc. is an assetExposure to compliance frameworks like (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2) is an assetWhat We OfferProfessional Development: Ongoing training, certifications, and career growth opportunitiesTravel Opportunities: Travel to locations across Canada, the U.S., and the CaribbeanComprehensive Health Benefits: Medical and dental coveragePaid Time Off: Vacation time, personal days, and paid holidaysInclusive Culture: A supportive, collaborative team environment where your voice mattersEmployee Recognition: Regular appreciation programs and performance incentivesCompetitive compensation package: Including a competitive annual base salary, bonus for product certification up to $4,800 per year, great referral bonus, etc.Staff discounts: GM, Dell, GoodLife, and more!Should you be selected for an interview, you will be contacted via email.
