This role is responsible for establishing and enforcing metadata standards, defining data ownership models, facilitating definition alignment workshops, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of critical governance artifacts such as the enterprise data dictionary. The successful candidate will act as the central coordination point between business stakeholders, data stewards, and technical teams to drive clarity, consistency, and accountability across data assets. This is a contract role, expected to run for a limited duration, and compensated on an hourly basis.Job ResponsibilitiesGovernance Framework Development: Own the creation and implementation of governance rules, standards, and processes to ensure data quality, accessibility, and compliance across systems.Workshop Facilitation: Lead targeted workshops with cross-functional teams to align on definitions of key entities such as Customer and Account, and to identify domain-level hierarchical relationships and downstream system dependencies.Metadata Management & Dictionary Design: Define metadata requirements and lead the creation of a centralized data dictionary. Align business and IT teams to populate and maintain key fields for high-priority domains (Customer, Account, Product, Financial).Policy & Standards Definition: Establish and document naming conventions, data classifications, update frequency guidelines, and stewardship responsibilities.Collaboration with Data Stewards & SMEs: Engage data owners, business SMEs, and IT architects to capture, refine, and validate metadata and domain-specific definitions.Federated Model Enablement: Support the federated data model blueprint by ensuring consistent and governed data definitions that can scale across distributed systems.Enablement & Roadmap Planning: Participate in final presentations, roadmap definition sessions, and documentation hand-offs to ensure long-term sustainability of governance processes.Required Skills and ExperienceProven experience in data governance, data stewardship, or data management rolesHands-on experience defining metadata models, domain ownership, and data governance RACI structuresStrong facilitation and communication skills to lead stakeholder workshops and resolve definitional conflictsFamiliarity with federated or distributed data architectures, including conceptual data modelingAbility to document and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiencesStrong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation qualityAdditional InformationAttain Partners values your mental, emotional, and physical health and wellbeing. Individual base salary for this position is unique to each candidate and will be commensurate with experience, education, and skills, ranging from $140,000 - $160,000.
