Job Description
Role Responsibilities : Active participation in the implementation of data governance solution and optimization of data governance frameworks across hybrid and multi-cloud environments (on premise & cloud). Implement and maintain data governance solutions and tools such as data catalogs, data quality monitoring tools, and lineage tracking solutions. Provide recommendations for tools and techniques to improve the governance process.Assist in managing data governance projects from concept to implementation.Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business units and the data steward community, to facilitate multi-level stakeholder discussions, gather requirements, build consensus, and drive adoption.Collaborate with data management team, data architectural team and other technical teams to ensure the effective running of data governance operations, processes and supports data management practices such as data quality, metadata management, data lineage, data cataloging, reference data, etc.Assist in the development, enforcement, and continuous improvement of data governance policies, data standards, and best practices across the organization.Provide guidance and awareness training to data steward community and stakeholders on data governance principles and tools. Act as a subject matter expert in data governance best practices. Role Requirements:A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) are a plus.Strong knowledge of data governance and data management, including frameworks and policies, data quality, metadata, data lineage, master data management, data catalogs, and reference data.Possess clear understanding of data life cycle, data value chain and holistic understanding of managing data as strategic assets.Able to engage with both technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical requirements into business solutions.Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a data governance or data management practitioner, preferably within complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments, with proficiency in data governance solutions such as Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or similar tools.Familiarity with data ecosystem concept, both on premise and cloud platforms and data governance operation in these environments. Understand data management principles in a hybrid and multi-cloud environment. Proficient in data governance tools and solutions, including data quality monitoring, metadata management, data lineage tracking, and reference data management.Experience in data protection, privacy, and compliance standardsUnderstanding of data architecture principles and data integration techniques in a hybrid and multi-cloud environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives and business stakeholders at all levels.Problem-solving oriented with a strategic mindset, capable of balancing tactical and long-term priorities.Act as a change agent to drive the adoption of data governance practices and foster a culture of data accountability and continuous improvement.
